WeConnect Energy is working with an International E&P Operator helping to recruit for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer. 

This would be a 12 month contract based in Abu Dhabi.

• Key contributor to incorporate valuable electrical design and safety inputs into the early design, procurement and construction phases of the program.
• Liaise with vendors, electrical and instrumentation construction personnel and crews, ensuring the execution and commissioning of field project work comply with safety and quality standards.
• Identify innovative and cost-effective designs to accommodate greenfield data limitations while maintaining alignment with organizational strategies, priorities, and industry best practices.
• Conduct detailed technical evaluations and provide development strategy recommendations for the program and/or projects.
• Primary stakeholder for the electrical disciplines of facility engineering, procurement and project execution, ensuring safe and cost-effective implementation of engineering design.
• Develop or technical review of various electrical studies & calculations for LV, MV power systems, cable sizing calculation, load flow & short circuit study, switchgear, electrical protection coordination study, relay settings.
• Review/ Approve all Electrical design/engineering work carried out by third parties (EPC Contractors/Vendors).
• Provide vendor equipment and package acceptance on walk-throughs.
• A key role in the commissioning of electrical equipment prior startup.
