Senior Geophysicist
Job Description
WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for a Senior Geophysicist (12 Month Contract) on behalf of our client, an E&P operator situated in the UK.
This is a full-time, day-rate contract position (PAYE).
Start Date: ASAP
Location: This role can be performed in Aberdeen or London.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
The Geophysicist will:
1) Ensure timely execution of Geophysics work scope and delivery of high-quality products that consistently pass scrutiny of internal and external technical assurance efforts. Examples of key tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- OBN seismic interpretation
- Synthetic seismic well ties
- Seismic stratigraphy
- Fault interpretation
2) Collaborate with Geologists and Reservoir engineers to integrate geophysical work into the wider subsurface programs
3) Capture the range of subsurface uncertainty and document work to a high standard
4) Work within the project workplan, aligning delivery with expected timeframes. Being adaptive to responding to changing Geophysics priorities, where necessary
5) Clearly and concisely articulate geophysical observations and interpretation to a range of stakeholders
6) Work within the Development Excellence & Assurance team (DE&A) technical assurance process, reviewing work and closing out action items in a timely manner
All candidates must be able to demonstrate recent experience using Petrel.
