WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for a Senior Associate, Corporate Strategy on behalf of our client, an Energy company, situated in the UAE. 

Overview:

Provide support to the Corporate Strategy team in four key areas:

1. Economic evaluation of investment decisions (e.g. asset stage-gate decision points) for Management
2. Support to the non-operated assets and downstream assets teams for specific asset economic modelling
3. Market studies to inform Management on industry trends and key topics

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Knowledge:

• A degree in Economics or a relevant branch of Engineering with some Strategic Planning training. MBA is preferable. Knowledge of the Oil and Gas business, including upstream (E&P) and downstream (refining and petrochemicals).
• Sound awareness of the local and international factors that affect the E&P business.  

Experience:

• 7 to 10 years’ experience in the E&P industry and Strategic Planning/Strategy.

Skills:

• Good planning and management know how, good economic analysis and modeling skills, skilled in use of standard modelling tools (e.g. Excel, MERAK PEEP).  
• Exposure to information sources and tools like Woodmac, IHS etc., planning and resource allocation skills, good communication and presentation skills, good interpersonal skills.
