Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Advisor based with one of our clients in Aberdeen.  This is a varied role covering commercial operations, asset support and JV management across a wide range of operated and non-operated fields throughout the E&P lifecycle. 

This is a full time, permanent role with attendance required in our clients Aberdeen office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Commercial representative providing asset support and commercial expertise for a range of assets including operated, non-operated, decommissioning, and retained liability assets.

• Assist Senior Commercial Advisor with various tasks including ad hoc analysis, capacity bookings, decommissioning security agreement calculations etc. as required.

• Development, negotiation and execution of relevant commercial agreements and their subsequent administration to ensure company value is enhanced and protected. Comply with industry protocols, for example the Commercial Code of Practice and Infrastructure Code of Practice.

• Protection & promotion of the companies interests, value optimisation of existing agreements through deep understanding and compliance with contracts.

• Manage compliance with existing commercial arrangements – operating agreements, transportation and processing and decommissioning security agreements - enforcing or performing contractual rights and obligations.

• Maintain and monitor timebound commercial obligations system

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or equivalent in finance; engineering; legal or business discipline (preferred).

• Proven influencing and negotiation skills.

• Understand aspects of the oil and gas value chain with focus on maximising value and minimising risks.

• Good understanding of upstream commercial agreements and experience in drafting and negotiating terms and agreements with third parties.
